James will discuss his personal and clinical experience returning to sport after Achilles tendon rupture. About the Speaker

James Braithwaite, PT, MSc(PT), FCAMPT, CSCS

James Braithwaite, PT, MSc(PT), FCAMPT, CSCS

James is a private practice physiotherapist and owner of Braithwaite Physiotherapy in Toronto. A graduate of Queen's University, he earned his FCAMPT designation in 2015 and serves as a credentialling instructor in the Orthopaedic Division’s Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy program. James has a particular interest in exercise-based care and return-to-performance decision-making. After sustaining his own Achilles tendon rupture while playing volleyball in 2025, he developed an even deeper appreciation for the clinical and personal challenges involved in rehabilitation and return to sport associated with this injury.
