Welcome to the Pain Truth Certification online course by Bahram Jam! This course is for all healthcare providers who wish to more effectively assist their patients in their recovery.

This program will not teach healthcare providers any magic bullet techniques and it will not focus on futile attempts to reduce pain for patients who so desperately seek it. In this course, Bahram Jam discusses the controversial concept of physical pain being potentially addictive.

This online course and certification training aims to improve the quality of life for those living with persistent pain by improving their current level of function despite their symptoms.

The Pain Truth Certification Training is based on hundreds of research studies and systematic reviews; ensuring clinicians learn the most up-to-date interventions for their patients with pain system hypersensitivity.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the theory behind how the craving for pain-relief may be a contributing factor to the maintenance of pain
  • Discuss the clinical application of psychological concepts such as Expectation Violation, Reward Prediction Errors, Pain Prediction Errors, Hedonic Adaptation and Locus of Control
  • Discuss the application of Graded Exposure Therapy (GET) into clinical practice for improving function and the quality of life for those living with persistent pain
