Musculoskeletal Pain – Assessment, Prediction and Treatment with Dave Walton

Description

Join author and musculoskeletal pain expert Dr. David Walton PT PhD for a special series of live interaction and discussion sessions during which participants will be invited to listen, learn, and discuss topics described in his new book Musculoskeletal Pain - Assessment, Prediction, and Treatment: A pragmatic approach (Walton and Elliott, Handspring Publishers UK).

Participants will be given exclusive access to 6 online sessions held every 2 weeks from January 12th to March 23rd 2020, from 12:15 - 1:00 pm EST.

These sessions are intended to allow a deeper dive into key concepts discussed in the book, and participants will be encouraged to have read the relevant chapter prior to each session.

The topics to be covered are:

  1. Pain as a latent construct (or, how to make sense of invisible experiences),
  2. Measuring pain, and creating your 'Go-To Toolbox',
  3. Pain as a biological phenomenon,
  4. Pain as a psychological phenomenon,
  5. Pain as a socially-determined phenomenon, and
  6. Bringing it all together for making clinical decisions.

How do you get invited to this exclusive experience?

First, ensure you have a copy of the book. It can be purchased directly through the publisher at https://www.handspringpublishing.com/product/the-assessment-prediction-and-treatment-of-musculoskeletal-pain/, or through Amazon in either paperback or e-book format.

Second, while we will not force anyone to do this, we strongly encourage all participants to make a donation to a local charitable organization of your choice. Any charity, any size donation. That's it: have a copy of the book, and at least think about making a charitable donation to an organization that could use it especially around the end of the year. Beyond that, registration is free.

We look forward to welcoming you to this unique opportunity to engage directly with one of the book's authors.

WARNING: Space is limited to the first 500 registrants.
