Overview:

This webinar introduces the International Dry Needling Education & Training Advisory Group (IDNETAG) and explains why global safety guidance for dry needling is needed now more than ever. It will clarify what IDNETAG is, what it is not, and how its guidelines were developed to address wide variation in training standards, safety messaging, and clinical expectations across countries and professions. Attendees will gain a clear overview of the key safety principles that underpin the IDNETAG guidelines and why a shared international framework matters. The session will focus on turning global principles into practical action. Participants will explore how international safety guidance supports better clinical decision-making, safer teaching, and more consistent assessment—without restricting clinical effectiveness. By the end of the webinar, clinicians and educators will understand how a common language of safety strengthens professional confidence, improves patient trust, and supports high-quality dry needling practice worldwide.
