Abdominal Breathing (Abdomino-Diaphragmatic Breath)
By: Ginger Garner

The A-D breath makes relaxation and downtraining of the sympathetic nervous system easily accessible to anyone - whether at work, home, or in a restorative yoga practice, physical or occupational therapy practice, or in yoga teaching or therapy. The A-D breath is not used to create postural stability in exercise or mind-body exercise like yoga, but it can be successfully used for promoting sleep, relaxation, calm, and meditation. This is an official companion video to Medical Therapeutic Yoga, by Dr. Ginger Garner DPT, ATC, LAT, PYT.
