Overview
Aquatic therapy is a powerful rehab tool that can enable clients to move earlier.
The effects of buoyancy, drag, and hydrostatic pressure need to be understood in order to identify individuals who would benefit from immersion and to safely prescribe aquatic exercises and techniques to achieve the therapeutic goals.
This course is a 45-minute introduction to the effects of immersion, precautions and contraindications, and application of hydrodynamics. I encourage you to practice all that you prescribe because it all feels different in the water!
