7 benefits of AI Charting on Embodia
Charting using AI has numerous benefits, here are a few of them:
-
Improved efficiency & time savings. Charting using AI reduces the time spent on manual charting and cuts down on repetitive tasks, allowing you more time to focus on patient care! Spend upwards of 90% less time1 on your charting with our AI scribe.
-
Fewer errors. Having an AI start the chart for you is like having two people do your charting! AI does the heavy lifting, and you come back and check for any issues, decreasing the potential for errors. Two ‘brains’ are better than one!
-
Forget remembering. Gone are the days when you wished you could remember everything your patient said. You only have so much room in that brain! AI Charting makes it easy to catch everything that’s said so you can save that memory space for other things.
Even better care. You already provide your patients with excellent care, but what if there was a way to make it even better? Imagine the patient experience with more eye contact, fewer pauses, and more presence. Now that’s a recipe for better care. AI Charting helps you give your patients your undivided attention. -

-
Take back your time & reduce burnout. How many extra hours do you spend charting each week? Wow, that many?! Take your charting from hours to minutes. Using AI scribe software lightens administrative workload, reduces stress and fatigue, and helps allied health professionals maintain an improved work-life balance. Save yourself from manual charting and take back your time.
-
Improved cost-effectiveness. Using AI charting enhances practice efficiency, allowing you to see more patients or spend more time improving and growing your business.
-
Customizable automations. At Embodia, we take pride in offering a platform that is fully customizable to meet the unique needs of your practice. Our AI feature is no exception. Not only can you customize your chart items (as usual) but, with AI Charting, you can also tailor the AI prompts for each chart item to create an even more personalized experience.

How does it work?
Just 6 easy steps!
-
Record your consult. Once enabled, the recording feature directly integrates with your Embodia practice management account, letting you record right from the consult page for all in-person consults. Virtual consults require recording from the telerehab software (Embodia’s Telehrehab, Zoom for Healthcare, or Google Meet).
-
Upload your recording. Save and upload the recording to the consult page.
-
Ready in minutes. Here is where the magic happens, once the recording is saved/uploaded, Embodia will automatically transcribe it to text. This process usually takes 2 minutes per hour of recording time.
-
Create a new chart and let AI Charting do the work. While waiting for the transcription to complete, if you haven’t done so already, we recommend starting a new chart for the consult. Make sure to keep all chart items blank! When the blank chart already exists for the consult, Embodia’s intelligent AI Charting will automatically fill the chart for you once it’s done processing!
You can also create the chart before you start the consult to avoid a race with the AI scribe. If you don’t get the blank chart created before the transcription is done processing, no need to worry. You can populate the chart with the AI transcription with just one more click. -
Proofread before signing. We all need a proofreader from time to time, even AI. Embodia places all chart entries generated with AI under a ‘Pending review’ tab. Practitioners should be sure to verify the content and make any changes necessary. After all, you don’t want to run into issues such as having said Ilium in your consult and coming to find that AI wrote Ileum!
-
Provide a rating for continued improvements. Simply provide a quick rating to indicate that the chart entry has been reviewed and the level of accuracy you felt it achieved. This will provide valuable feedback to our team to help improve future chart generation!
Data security you can count on
Protecting patient privacy and securing your data is our top priority. We understand the importance of handling sensitive information with care, which is why our AI-powered tools are designed to meet the highest security standards. All patient data is encrypted, securely stored, and processed in full compliance with healthcare privacy regulations, including HIPAA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA..
After completing the 10 hours, if you choose to continue using Embodia’s AI charting,
a competitive usage-based fee of $0.01 per minute will be added to your monthly membership invoice.
